MEDICARE INFORMATION SESSION SET FOR JULY 17

The West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd., plans a free Medicare information session from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 17.

Representatives from Nevada State Health Insurance Assistance Program are scheduled to provide information and answer questions.

FREE SUMMER HEALTH FAIR SCHEDULED JULY 26 AT SPRING VALLEY HOSPITAL

Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, 5400 S. Rainbow Blvd., plans a free summer health fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 26.

Activities are set to include screenings for vision, blood pressure, bone density, glucose and the spine. The event also will feature giveaways and raffles, more than 60 community vendors, children’s activities, Medicare counseling and tours of the hospital.

BLOOD DRIVE TO BENEFIT AMERICAN RED CROSS

A blood drive is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 26 at Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, 5400 S. Rainbow Blvd., to benefit the American Red Cross.

SINGLES TRAVEL AND SOCIAL CLUB TO MEET JULY 22

The Las Vegas Singles Travel and Social Club, a group of mature valley singles interested in local, national and international travel, plans to meet at 7 p.m. July 22 at the Tap House, 5589 W. Charleston Blvd.

The club meets the fourth Tuesday of every month. A half hour of social time is planned before the meeting, which consists of a short business portion, an introduction of guests and a speaker. July’s speaker is set to discuss touring Northern Europe.
