1. Crusader Knight: Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School's annual gala is planned from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Valencia Ballroom at the JW Marriott, 221 N. 2. Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival: The 22nd annual festival is set to return to Sunset Park, 2601 E. Sunset Road, Oct. 9-11. More than 200 artisans, historical re-enactments, and food and drink are planned. With traditional musical performances from Wicked Tinkers, Dread Crew of Oddwood, Bogtrotter's Union and Killian's Angels, and the return of the dinner theater, this year's event is set to feature several smaller stages with entertainment by the Gypsy Time Travelers, Mullaney, Nature of Mercy, Whiskey Bards and costumed performers such as the Bawdy Juggler Adam Reid, Endless Productions and the Snake Army. The festival is set to be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 9 and 10 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 11. 4. Summerlin Festival of Arts: The 20th annual festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 10 and 11 at Downtown Summerlin, 1980 Festival Plaza Drive. More than 100 artists and craftspeople are set to showcase and sell upscale, original artwork, including paintings, pottery, photography, jewelry and handcrafted pieces made from wood, glass and metal. This year's event also is set to showcase big-name entertainment, more children's art activities, and food and beverage offerings from Downtown Summerlin restaurants. Live entertainment is set to include headliner Clint Holmes and a special appearance by performers from Cirque du Soleil's "Zarkana." Chef Chan Boupha of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Las Vegas plans to host food art carving demonstrations, and large-scale live canvas paintings are planned on Guerrilla Kages by District Artz. A canned food drive is planned to support HomeAid Southern Nevada, and a children's pavilion hosted by the Discovery Children's Museum is set to feature a kids' crafts station. Admission is free.
