STATION CASINOS TO INVEST $35 MILLION IN RED ROCK RESORT

Station Casinos plans to invest more than $35 million this year in Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd., introducing four new restaurants and enhancing other venues and amenities.

Mercadito Red Rock is set to feature a menu blending traditional Mexican with creative interpretations of local and seasonal ingredients.

The Light Group will be a neighborhood dining experience featuring a farmers market-inspired, small plates menu with simple, seasonal and sustainable ingredients paired with hand-crafted beers and an extensive wine list.

Plans are to develop a new contemporary and casual Italian restaurant that will replace Terra Rossa.

Noodle Bar will be a noodle bar concept between the Grand Cafe and the High Limit gaming room and will offer noodle bowls, dim sum and specialty fried rice.

The new restaurant venues will be built along the property’s Charleston Boulevard casino entrance, with outdoor entrances and patios. These restaurants will be linked by a pedestrian walkway to create connectivity for guests to walk along all five restaurant locations including the existing Lucille’s Bar-B-Que and Yard House. Outdoor patios and water features will be prominently featured throughout the new design.

Also in the plans are a way to connect with The Shops at Summerlin. A new parking section with a public drop-off area off Summerlin Centre Drive will offer guests convenience from The Shops to the casino. Other enhancements include refurbishing the steakhouse, upgrading suites and a complete renovation of the foot spa and salon.

The changes will be staggered over the next eight months, with all venues expected to be completed and operational by the fourth quarter of 2014.
