FREE GUITAR LESSONS SCHEDULED

Free summer guitar basics for beginners classes are scheduled from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 20 and every third Saturday of the month this summer at the Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave. Participants are asked to bring their own guitar and invited to learn guitar basics such as tuning and simple cords. Speedway offers Midnight Mayhem

Midnight Mayhem is scheduled from 6 to 11:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North. The event is a safe alternative to illegal street racing and allows drivers to pit their own street vehicles against one another on a drag strip. Races begin at 7 p.m. Additional events are slated for Aug. 30, Sept. 13, Oct. 4 and Oct., 18. The fee for races is $15, and admission for spectators is $5. For tickets, visit lvms.com.

SKYZONE plans MOVe to Dean Martin

Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park closed its 4915 Steptoe St. location July 1 and is in the process of moving into a new site at Dean Martin Drive and Warm Springs Road near the Silverton. Local group to celebrate Barbershop Harmony Society anniversary

The Silver Statesmen barbershop chorus and its quartets plan to present “Celebrate Harmony” in honor of the 75th anniversary of the group’s parent organization, the Barbershop Harmony Society.

Shows are slated for 7 p.m. Aug. 2 at Freedom Hall, 2450 Hampton Road in Sun City Anthem for $15; 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Starbright Theatre, 2215 Thomas W. Ryan Blvd. in Sun City Summerlin for $12 for residents, $15 for nonresidents; 2 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Winchester Cultural Center 3130 S.
