HONEY SALT PLANS FARM TABLE DINNER SERIES

Honey Salt, 1031 S. Rampart Blvd., plans to host a new dinner series called Farm Table, beginning March 17 with a celebratory Irish feast.

The series is set to take place two Mondays a month and will feature a changing menu of seasonally inspired American comfort food. Dinners will be served family style and showcase unique wine and beer pairings. Other dinners are scheduled for March 31, April 14 and 28, May 12 and 26, June 9 and 23 and July 7 and 31.

BERNARD’S BISTRO CHEF OPENS SECOND LOCATION IN HENDERSON

Chef Elie Bernard of Bernard’s Bistro at Lake Las Vegas has opened a second restaurant in Henderson at 2021 W. Sunset Road.

The new Bernard’s Bistro held a grand opening celebration on Feb. 26. The location seats approximately 110 indoors and 40 to 50 on the patio.

The menu is California/European, and regular special events — such as a Frank Sinatra-themed meal on Tuesday nights and Titanic dinner menu recreations on Thursday nights — are planned. The restaurant also features a health-conscious line, Inspired Fresh Diet, for dine-in and take-out patrons.

Hash House A Go Go in the Rio, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, is teaming up with Las Vegas entertainers for a pancake competition for charity.

Entertainer-designed pancakes will be listed on the menu through March and include Penncakes & Teller, a custardy honey-orange juice pancake with honey butter, created by Penn & Teller for Opportunity Village; Mint Chocolate Chippendale, an original flapjack with mint chocolate chips, green M&Ms and sprinkles, created by Chippendales for the American Cancer Society; X Rocks Rockstar, and a red flapjack with edible glitter and fresh whipped cream, created by X Rocks for Fight MSA.

LES KINCAID TO HOST NOODLE, WINE CLASSES IN MARCH

Les Kincaid, host of the radio wine show “Wines Du Jour,” plans to host the class A Taste of Noodles from 6 to 8:30 p.m. March 11 and 18 at Ferguson Enterprises, 4175 S. Grand Canyon Drive. The cost is $98 for two sessions.

The class Appellations of California Wine is planned from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays March 12-26 at Total Wine & More in Boca Park, 730 S. Rampart Blvd. A wine bearing the California appellation ensures consumers that 100 percent of the grapes were grown in California. This class will offer tastings of three of the 12 different appellations, including Santa Barbara, Monterey County and Paso Robles. A brief overview of each will be discussed, along with winery suggestions for future wine country visits.

Andre’s Restaurant and Lounge at the Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to continue Whisk(e)y Wednesdays every two months, with grand tasting sessions planned for 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight March 12.

The event pairs unlimited whiskey tastings with cigars and takes place on the second floor in the Cigar Lounge.

March is set to feature experts from Jameson and a lineup with Redbreast, Powers, Paddys and a new expression from Jameson. The flight will remain on Andre’s menu until the next event in May.

CANTINA LAREDO RAISES FUNDS FOR AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

The Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom at the Bellagio, 3600 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has announced its schedule for 2014. UNLVINO TO CELEBRATE 40 YEARS APRIL 9-12

UNLVino is scheduled for April 9-12, the wine event’s 40th anniversary. The kickoff event, Sip & Savor at Spago, is set for 7 p.m. April 9, with VIP entrance at 6 p.m. The fundraiser will be hosted by chef Wolfgang Puck and will feature cuisine from his six Las Vegas restaurants. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS PLAN LENTEN FISH FRY

The Knights of Columbus Council 8282 plans to offer its annual Lenten Fish Fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays through April 11 at the St. Viator Catholic Church Parish Center, 2461 E. Flamingo Road.

The fish are flown in from Alaska and served with coleslaw, fries, bread and coffee. Drinks and desserts also will be available.

GREAT VEGAS FESTIVAL OF BEER COMING TO DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS APRIL 26

The 2014 Great Vegas Festival of Beer is planned from 4 to 8 p.m. (early entry and VIP entry at 3 p.m.) April 26 in the Fremont East Entertainment District in downtown Las Vegas.

Motley Brews plans to expand the festival to accommodate the local beer scene and feature more than 250 brews from more than 80 breweries. A new focus will be on beer-inspired culinary menus, mixology, educational elements, interactive exhibits and live music.
