Las Vegas Valley to end the weekend with warm temps

The favorable temperatures and sunny skies will continue next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Today will have a high of 75 degrees and low of 49 degrees, meteorologist Jim Harrison said.

The skies will be clear and sunny Sunday with some light winds, which are expected to continue through Wednesday, Harrison said. These unexpectedly warm late-February temperatures have caused the snow on Mount Charleston to melt rather quickly. Yesterday's town high was 55 degrees and there was no snow on the ground at the fire station, just below the lodge, according to the weather service. Despite warm temperatures, there have been no signs of flooding.

The forecast is predicted to be fairly similar through Wednesday. Monday will see a high near 75 degrees, though come Tuesday we will see an 8 degree drop with a high of 67 degrees, then back in the 70s with a high of 71 degrees come Wednesday.

The forecast shows clear and sunny skies for the days to come with some light winds from the northwest about 10 to 15 mph on Monday. As for Tuesday, winds from the northeast should be about 15 to 25 mph, with gusts over 30 mph.
