Skies clear across Las Vegas Valley, but rain could arrive again by weekend

Las Vegas skies should start to clear beginning Tuesday with the next dose of rain possibly arriving by the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

“The rest of the week will be fairly quiet before the weekend,” meteorologist Caleb Steele said.

Total rainfall amounts Monday included 0.23 of an inch at McCarran International Airport. Most of the valley received 0.25 of an inch of precipitation, Steele said. Mount Charleston received the most rainfall at 2.05 inches.

The high temperature Tuesday should reach 82 degrees.

An 84-degree high is expected on Wednesday with 86 on Thursday, 83 for Friday and 84 on Saturday.

A 20 percent chance of rain is forecasted for Friday.
