In the months preceding your wedding, try to eat nutritious, well-balanced meals and drink lots of water. In addition to feeling better and having more energy, your hair, skin and nails will also look their best.
Meet with a professional hair stylist 3-4 months before your wedding to discuss how you want your hair styled. Make sure to bring your veil and any photos of styles you like. If you want to have your hair cut, colored, or permed, do it at least 2-3 weeks before the wedding.
The week before the wedding: Pamper yourself with a massage. You'll feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Try to get as much sleep as possible, especially the night before the wedding. Avoid overexposure to the sun.
At your rehearsal dinner, drink plenty of water, avoid salt, and limit alcohol consumption. This will help avoid puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. On the big day, avoid alcohol until the reception; it will cause your skin to flush and redden, and your make-up will not last.
