The Grizzlies won the Gator Winter Classic’s diamond bracket championship for the second consecutive year with a 66-54 victory over Dimond (Alaska) on Saturday at Green Valley.
The host Gators (6-8) overcame a slow start to score a 50-44 victory over Spanish Springs in the diamond division quarterfinals. They’ll play Dimond (Alaska) on Saturday morning in the semifinals.
The Foothill girls basketball team opened the Gator Winter Classic with a 61-32 win over Silverado in the morning and finished its first day of pool play with a 55-29 victory over Boulder City in the afternoon.
