Kaily Kaimikaua had a game-high 23 points, and London Pavlica scored 13 on Saturday to help Liberty to a 70-29 win over Legacy in the championship game of the Liberty Invitational.

LIBERTY INVITATIONAL: Legacy rides pressure defense to win

Legacy’s girls basketball team created 26 turnovers — and finished with 16 steals — to run away with a 58-35 victory over Las Vegas High in pool play of the Liberty Invitational at Liberty on Friday.

Christian Marshall returned to running back after being injured in a season-opening loss and will carry a streak of five consecutive games with at least 100 rushing yards into Friday’s Class 4A Sunset Region semifinal against top-ranked Bishop Gorman.
