Man fatally shot at apartments near Boulevard Mall
A man died after he was shot Saturday at an apartment complex near the Boulevard Mall, according to Las Vegas police.
Officers and medical units were called about 3:45 p.m. to the Oasis Bay Apartments, 1555 E. Katie Ave., near the intersection of Twain Avenue and Maryland Parkway, Metro Lt. Ken Romane said. There they found the man, who was not identified, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The man died at University Medical Center, Romane said.
Police blocked entry to the complex, allowing only residents to enter and exit on foot. A Crime Scene Investigation truck was parked outside the complex for at least two hours Saturday afternoon. Metro took down police tape at the entrance about 7:30 p.m.
Metro homicide detectives declined to comment at the apartment complex.
No arrests or motive have been announced.
