Gift Card Giveaway Official Rules (“Rules”)
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY.
I. Eligibility
The Gift Card Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is open only to legal residents of the United States who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry (the “Entrant” or “Entrants”). Employees, independent contractors and interns of Las Vegas Review-Journal, Inc. (“LVRJ”) and each of its affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies (including, in each case, immediate family members) are not eligible to enter the Giveaway. For purposes of this Giveaway, “immediate family members” is defined as spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws”, or by current or past marriage, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other familial extension, and any other persons residing at the same household, whether or not related. In order to enter the Giveaway or win the Prize, the Entrant must comply fully with these Rules, and by entering agrees to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of LVRJ, which decisions shall be binding and final in all respects.
II. Sponsor
The Giveaway is sponsored by LVRJ, located at 1111 W. Bonanza Road, Las Vegas, NV 89106.
III. Giveaway Period
The Giveaway begins on Monday, September 8, 2025, and ends Saturday, October, 18, 2025, at 2:00pm Pacific time (the “Giveaway Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Giveaway Period will be disqualified.
IV. How to Enter; No Purchase Required.
Eligible persons may enter the Giveaway by completing the online registration form. Only one entry per person and no purchase is necessary.
V. Additional Giveaway Rules
1. All required information must be provided, or Entrant will be automatically disqualified.
2. Winners’ names will be released and Winners may be notified by email and/or phone on or about Monday November 3, 2025.
VI. Odds of Winning
Odds of winning are based on the number of total entries. Winner(s) will be chosen at random.
VII. Winner(s) and Prize(s)
After the Giveaway Period, one entrant will be randomly selected to receive the Prize, as described below (each a “Winner” and together, “Winners”). The Winner will receive one one-thousand-dollar ($1000.00) Amazon gift card (the “Prize”). Each Winner must claim that Winner’s Prize by Friday, November 7, 2025, or the Prize will be forfeited. Since LVRJ offices are presently closed to the public, arrangements will be made between LVRJ and each Winner for delivery or pick up of that Winner’s Prize.
Each Winner must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (the “Release”) in order to be eligible to accept the Winner’s Prize. In the event a Winner is disqualified for any reason, the Prize will be forfeited and no compensation will be given. No substitution or transfer of any Prize is allowed, except at the sole discretion of LVRJ. LVRJ reserves the right to substitute a Prize of equal or greater value.
All local, state and federal taxes, if any, incurred by accepting a Prize will be the sole responsibility of each Winner. The Winners may be announced in a future edition of the LVRJ newspaper. The decisions of LVRJ are final as to all matters.
VIII. Additional Information for Entrants and Winner(s)
By entering, Entrants agree to comply with these Rules and the decisions of LVRJ, which are binding and final, and further agree to release LVRJ and each of its affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and anyone associated with the production of this Giveaway, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any claims, injuries, losses or damages (including attorney’s fees) of any kind arising out of their participation in this Giveaway or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Prize.
Each Winner waives the right to assert as a cost of winning the Prize any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem said Prize and waives any liability or claims (including attorney’s fees) which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said Prize. In the event of non-compliance with these Rules, or if any Prize is refused or cannot be accepted for any reason, the Prize will be forfeited. Upon forfeiture or refusal, no compensation will be given. Acceptance of any Prize constitutes permission to use the Winner’s name, photograph, likeness, personally identifying information and/or statements made by the Winner regarding the Giveaway, for advertising and publicity purposes without further compensation or consent.
All entries are works made for hire and become the property of LVRJ and may be used by LVRJ for any purpose without compensation. This Giveaway shall only be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the state of Nevada, without regard to the principles of conflicts of laws, and submission of any entry constitutes acceptance of such laws. This Giveaway is void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
LVRJ reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and/or void any entries held by an Entrant who LVRJ believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Giveaway.
