Victims named in fatal Northern Nevada crash

The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the names of three people killed in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 50 about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Trooper Dan Lopez said a Ford pickup driven by 73-year-old Ellis Lee Erwin apparently drifted into oncoming traffic near Six Mile Canyon Road about five miles east of Dayton.

Also in the pickup was his wife, 72-year-old Louise Erwin.

The pickup struck a westbound Toyota Camry driven by 43-year-old Michelle Marie Stratton.

All three victims, who are from the Dayton area, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
