Theme of ‘2016’ hits home
The Romney campaign says the events of yesterday in which two U.S. embassies were attacked and Americans were killed were directly caused by President Obama's failed Middle East policy.
But if you buy into the premise of the popular documentary movie "2016" the argument is made that Obama hasn't failed in his Middle East policy at all. This is how he sees the world. Colonialist bad guys like the U.S. need to get out of the way and good guys like the Muslim Brotherhood need to take over.
That is not to say, of course, that President Obama wants Americans killed or isn't angry about yesterday's violence. I guess he is (though we've not seen evidence of it.)
The documentary "2016" contends deep down, President Obama sees the Arab Spring as some kind of righteous correction of the world.
It's gotta make you wonder.
