Seven people involved in central Las Vegas fight

Las Vegas police are investigating a fight Sunday afternoon that involved several people and sent one to the hospital.

Just after 1 p.m., seven people were involved in a “mutual fight” in the 400 block of South 13th Street, near East Charleston Boulevard, Metro Lt. Jeff Goodwin said. One person was armed with a hammer, and others threw bricks, he said.

Half of the group left the area but were later located by an air unit and detained, Goodwin said. One person was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Two people were arrested for battery with a deadly weapon, one person was arrested for domestic violence, one person was arrested for simple battery, and one person was cited for misdemeanor battery, he said. Two other people received no criminal action.
