Threat that locked down Ober Elementary a hoax, police say

Clark County School District police said a phone call that caused a Summerlin elementary school to be locked down Thursday afternoon was a hoax.
The staff and students at Ober Elementary School, 3035 Desert Marigold Lane, were released at the normal time, 3:30 p.m., after being on lockdown about an hour, school district police Capt. Ken Young said.
Metro originally reported that someone called, threatening to “blow up” the school. That proved to be untrue, Young said.
No evidence to substantiate the threat was found.
