Jury awards $524K in lawsuit after Mandalay Bay offered $2.5M

A jury awarded about $524,000 to a California man who sought millions of dollars for injuries he said he suffered when a temporary sign collapsed atop him at a Las Vegas Strip hotel.

Legal panel denies MGM Resorts’ request to combine Oct. 1 suits

The United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation ruled Wednesday that the lawsuits do not contain “sufficiently numerous” or “complex common questions” to justify consolidation.
