The words almost didn’t make it out of Rebecca Shanahan’s mouth – stuck somewhere in her throat as she remembered her loved ones who died from pancreatic cancer. “A year ago today, my best friend died of pancreatic cancer,” Shanahan said. “Ten days before she died, my father was diagnosed.
