After a one-year hiatus, the National Clean Energy Summit is returning to Las Vegas on Oct. 13. The event, which highlights innovations in the field of renewable energy, will be co-hosted by summit founder, retired U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, and Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval.

As bird hunting season comes to an end and I reflect on all the wonderful hunting outings I’ve had this season and many seasons past, I’m reminded that Nevada’s world-class big game and bird hunting is often the envy of hunters around the country.

Green energy push could cripple U.S. economy

To the editor: I really was thrilled to see that going green is going to be extremely expensive for NV Energy and in turn for us, the consumers (Review-Journal, Thursday). This is only the beginning as more and more energy companies are forced by our government to use expensive substitutes for all the natural resources the United States has.
