LOS ANGELES — Competition was tight, but one dancer was able to pick up a disco-ball trophy Tuesday night after he samba-ed his way to the “Dancing With the Stars” championship. “You are the MVP of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ season 12,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said. “You learned how to lead the dancing, not only in the dance, but you led your partner out of injury. You dance with heart, and it shows.”

Three Arizona officers accused of drug, human smuggling

PHOENIX — Three employees of America’s self-proclaimed toughest sheriff have been arrested in a drug and human trafficking case, authorities said Tuesday. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said a deputy and two female detention officers were among 12 people taken into custody and accused of being in a Phoenix-based international drug smuggling ring. One of the officers told authorities that she is eight months pregnant with the child of an alleged Mexican drug cartel member.

Las Vegas Jewish leader praises Netanyahu’s speech to Congress
