The Clark County coroner’s office has identified the woman who was killed while trying to cross a street in central Las Vegas on Thursday morning.
There were 21 fatal crashes in the first month of 2019, resulting in 22 deaths, the Department of Public Safety announced Thursday.
The woman, driving a Nissan Versa, exited Boulder Station’s parking lot a little after 11 a.m. and attempted to cross all northbound lanes, entering the path of a northbound Chevy Cruz, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Anthony Gafford, 40, serving a 30-to-50-year sentence for second-degree murder, left the community corrections center in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Saturday and never returned, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
