On Wednesday Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez issued a ruling that will halt the execution of convicted murderer Scott Dozier. Alvogen Inc., which makes the sedative midazolam, filed a lawsuit Tuesday accusing the Nevada Department of Corrections of surreptitiously obtaining the drug for use in an execution.
Cavaliers rookie point guard Collin Sexton has gone by “Young Bull” since the 11th grade. Watch him play for a few minutes, and its easy to see why. Sexton, selected No. 8 overall in the 2018, brings a unique combination of explosiveness and playmaking instincts to the point-guard position. He played one year of college basketball for coach Avery Johnson at the University of Alabama, where he averaged 19.2 points per game. The Cavaliers consider him an intricate part of their future, which no longer includes LeBron James. He’s been one of the most impressive players at Summer League, and is held in high regard by his coaches and teammates.

A motorcycle rider was seriously injured Tuesday night after a crash on Charleston Boulevard. The crash was reported just before 10 p.m. near Durango Drive, according to Las Vegas police. The motorcyclist was hospitalized with unknown injuries but is expected to survive. Las Vegas police are investigating the cause of the accident.
