Halau Hula `O Kaleihoku
Halau Hula `O Kaleihoku, founded in 2015 under the guidance of Kumu Hula Tiffanie Zuttermeister, is dedicated to preserving and sharing the traditions of Hula Kahiko and Hula Auana. With classes for keiki (children), wahine (women), kāne (men), and kūpuna (elders), the halau welcomes students ages 3 and up. The halau is active in the community, performing annually at their Christmas Luau, local events like May Day and Flavors of Aloha, as well as competing in hula competitions along the West Coast. Joseph "Soul" Malaikini
Considered one of the most versatile entertainers from Hawaii, Joseph Soul has been commanding crowds for well over 2 decades. Highly touted as a producer and nightclub DJ (Audissey), his skillset spans far beyond the distance between two turntables.
Featured on season 19 of NBC's The Voice, Joseph had the opportunity to be mentored by Kelly Clarkson and was eventually stolen and mentored by Gwen Stefani, where he made it all the way to the semi-finals.
His desire to bridge the gap between DJ Audissey and Joseph Soul has led him to the style of performance you see today, incorporating multiple instruments, live production, and transitions like a DJ.
