St. Louis casinos untouched by tornado

A tornado that hit the St. Louis suburbs Friday night damaged the city’s airport, but spared the region’s gaming market.

Morgan Joseph gaming analyst Justin Sebastiano told investors this morning “it was business as usual” following the tornado, which damaged nearly 1,200 homes and businesses in the town of Maryland Heights.

Harrah’s St. Louis is located in Maryland Heights, but there was no damage reported at the property.

Sebastiano said the tornado was close to Ameristar St. Charles, but the extent of the impact to that property was "a flickering of the lights for a few seconds."
