CARSON CITY — Gov. Brian Sandoval has named Steven D. Hill, a former chairman of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce to the Nevada Commission on Economic Development.
Hill is also chairman of Service 1st Bank of Nevada. He founded Silver State Materials, a concrete, sand and gravel supplier that was purchased in 2008 by CalPortland in 2008. Hill still serves as a vice president for the company.
Sandoval says Hill’s business experience gives him firsthand knowledge Nevada needs to attract new companies and help existing businesses grow.
