Goodwill of Southern Nevada leaders formally started construction Tuesday on a new 17,000 square-foot build-to-suit location at Boulder Highway and Horizon Road in Henderson.

The new store will include a 11,000 square foot sales floor and a covered two lane drive-thru donation center.

About 45 new full-time jobs will be created in Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s retail and operations department to support the new Henderson location.

Currently, Goodwill of Southern Nevada operates 17 retail stores.

Two additional Goodwill locations are slated to open this summer.

A full-sized retail store with a drive-thru donation center will open at Silverado and Bermuda Road this summer.

A Goodwill select store and donation center at Blue Diamond Road and Decatur Boulevard will also open this summer.
