Kafoury Armstrong & Co. will merge with Eide Bailly LLP

Public accounting firm Kafoury, Armstrong &Co. will merge with Eide Bailly LLP, a business advisory firm, on Dec. 15.

“This means a lot more opportunities for our staff to develop and grow,” said Tamara Miramontes, a CPA and Kafoury, Armstrong &Co. shareholder.

For more than 70 years, Kafoury, Armstrong &Co. has served Nevadans from its four locations in Las Vegas, Reno, Elko and Fallon. Eide Bailly has 25 nationwide locations including one in Reno.

Miramontes said Kafoury, Armstrong &Co. has 75 employees within its four offices. Through this merger, the company will become part of the first regional firm in Nevada and will be given access to the knowledge of Eide Bailly’s more than 1,500 professionals.

“This includes deeper tax knowledge through their national tax office, and industry-specific audit/assurance services through their national assurance team,” she said.

Miramontes said she looks forward to the staff development once the merger closes.

“We have staff development every year, however, Eide Bailly has a fabulous training program,” she said. “It will allow our staff to try new things and different services since they have a lot more niches and services they can allow our CPA’s to get into.”

Miramontes said Eide Bailly serves a variety of industry niches such as government, nonprofit, gaming, manufacturing and construction/real estate.

“Being part of a larger firm gives our staff a viable option to the Big Four CPA firms by offering rewarding careers and opportunities to specialize,” she said. “This will also help us attract seasoned professionals who will bring even more expertise to our marketplace, and our clients’ businesses.”
