McCarran airport director to address prestigious aviation conference

The director of McCarran International Airport has been invited to speak at a prestigious international aviation conference in Amsterdam.

Rosemary Vassiliadis, director of the Clark County Department of Aviation, will be among five airport executives on a panel that will address economic, geopolitical, security and environmental factors reshaping the aviation industry and how airport directors are responding.

Vassiliadis will join CEOs of airports in London, Amsterdam, Athens and a network of airports in Finland on the panel at the Global Airport Development conference in November.

Vassiliadis is the only American airport director to be invited to be a panelist at the conference, which also will address opens skies issues and air traffic privatization as well as airport finance.

Her appearance at the conference also will give her the opportunity to meet with airline executives McCarran has been working to convince to fly routes to Las Vegas and to network with international airport leaders.
