Sutherland Global Services plans job fair
A new local employer wants to fill 1,200 positions at a Saturday job fair.
Sutherland Global Services, a New York-based technology outsourcing and consulting company, will hold the hiring bonanza from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at its new operations center at 8725 W. Sahara Ave.
Sutherland needs workers in areas including inbound sales technology support, customer service and sales insurance advising. Many of the jobs are entry-level, but will offer in-depth training, company executives said.
There are other perks: The company’s campus has a fitness center, a full-service cafeteria and a childcare center.
Sutherland has already hired 700 workers since it opened the center on Jan. 6.
The company said it will have more than 2,000 employees by the end of the year — double its original local forecast of 1,000 positions.
