CES, the largest convention held in the Las Vegas Valley, will roll out photo ID badges for visitors to next year’s event.
The change was decided before the Las Vegas shooting Oct. 1.
Visitors will have to show a government-issued photo ID before entering the CES venues, according to a statement Wednesday.
Previous security measures CES has enacted include bag restrictions, metal detectors and collecting dates of birth, according to the statement.
The show will be held from Jan. 9 to Jan. 12 at Westgate, Aria, the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Sands Expo and Convention Center. An estimated 175,000 people are expected to attend.
