Veteran gaming exec tapped as COO of Baha Mar
Veteran Las Vegas gaming executive Paul Pusateri was selected on Wednesday as chief operating officer of Baha Mar, a $3.5 billion destination gaming resort in The Bahamas.
Pusateri will also serve as general manager of the Baha Mar Casino & Hotel, the project’s centerpiece, which will feature 1,000 hotel rooms and a 100,000-square-foot casino with 1,500 slot machines and 150 table games. The development is scheduled to open in December 2014.
Pusateri has worked in executive level positions for the Hard Rock, the Palms, The Venetian, Palazzo, Venetian, Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas in his gaming career.
Baha Mar will also be home to Rosewood at Baha Mar, Mondrian at Baha Mar and Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar and offer 2,200 hotel rooms, suites and residences. Amenities include a spa, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course; a 20-acre beachfront area with multiple pools and a water park; shopping; and more than 30 restaurants, nightclubs and lounges.
The resort will have 200,000 square feet of convention and meeting space, which will include a 2,000-seat performing arts center, and an art gallery exhibiting a collection of Bahamian art.
