The clock is ticking, but you’re going to get a little more time to answer these questions: Do you love your job? And your employer? And would you like to tell someone about it?
The Las Vegas Review-Journal would like to hear from you about your job and your employer, and to recognize them in an upcoming Top Workplaces special section.
The deadline has been extended to Sept. 21 to allow you time to respond.
For this project, the Review-Journal is teaming with Workplace Dynamics, a survey company that has similar partnerships with dozens of newspapers nationwide. Workplace Dynamics conducts Top Workplaces surveys in conjunction with 30 major metro newspapers and surveyed more than 1.5 million employees in 2011.
The Review-Journal wants to recognize companies and organizations of all kinds – that includes for-profit and nonprofit, from small startups to retailers to hospitals to Fortune 500 companies.
Just as importantly, we want to hear about the specifics and intangibles that create employee satisfaction and business success. The only requirement is that businesses or organizations have at least 50 employees.
Working from your nominations, Workplace Dynamics will enlist employers to participate in an employee satisfaction survey. Those employers that score highest locally – and meet national benchmarks – will make the list.
So far, close to 60 local companies have been nominated. An extended deadline will allow still more to participate.
Review-Journal business reporters will profile the best local employers in an upcoming special section, and write other stories exploring how great companies inspire their employees to greatness.
