Body found in east valley
Las Vegas police are investigating the discovery of a body found Wednesday night in a mountainous area east of the valley.
Officers responded about 7 p.m. to the mountains about a mile east of Hollywood Regional Park, near East Charleston and South Hollywood Boulevards, according to Metro Lt. W. Graham.
Police will have to continue the investigation Thursday morning because the area was not accessible at night, Graham said.
Graham said there was no information available about the body’s age or gender.
The Clark County coroner’s office will release the identity after the person’s family has been notified.
