Coroner identifies father, daughter who died in murder-suicide in North Las Vegas

Two people who died in a murder-suicide Sunday morning in North Las Vegas have been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Gregory Landis, 53, of North Las Vegas, shot his daughter Amanda Landis, 25, after the two got into a heated argument around 5:15 a.m. in the 4100 block of Hollis Street, near Craig Road and Commerce Street, according to North Las Vegas police.

After shooting Amanda, Gregory Landis turned the gun on himself.

Two other family members were home at the time. Neither of them were injured.
