Man arrested after Kingman teen dies in accident

A driver faces manslaughter charges following an accident that killed a 17-year-old near on U.S. Highway 66.

The truck driven by Cody Raymond, 17, was rear ended on the historic highway one mile north of Kingman at 10:40 p.m. Sunday. His truck then rolled over in the median, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Agency spokesman Carrick Cook said Raymond died early Monday morning at Kingman Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the car, Delbert Brechler, 45, of Kingman, was booked into jail on charges of manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Brechler and passenger in the pickup were not hurt in the accident.
