Man, woman ID’d in suspected murder-suicide in Kingman

The victims of a suspected murder-suicide in north Kingman, Ariz., have been identified as John Arthur Sorensen, 77, and Kelly Rhae Orsolini, 57, by the Mohave County medical examiner’s office.

Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Trish Carter said Orsolini was dead when deputies arrived to conduct a welfare check after there were reports of shots fired in a residence in the 2300 block of East Northfield Avenue.

Sorensen was still alive when found in the same room of the home clutching a 9 mm handgun, she said.

Carter said an autopsy concluded that Orsolini died of multiple gunshots and that Sorensen died of a single gunshot to the head.
