Metro seeks man in taco shop robbery

Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man they said robbed a Roberto’s Taco Shop on Sunday night, according to police records.

A man in his late teens or early 20s went into the shop, located 2875 S. Nellis Blvd., near Vegas Valley Drive. The man brandished a gun and ran away from the business with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register about 10 p.m., police said in a release Thursday night.

Police altered the released surveillance images to exclude the logos printed on stacks of paper cups at the quick service restaurant.

Police described the man as about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. The surveillance images show the man wearing a green camouflage hat, a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

Anyone with information can call Metro’s robbery section at 702-828-3591. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com. Tips directly leading to an arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward.
