Police looking for friends of stabbing victim

Las Vegas police are looking for more information about a man killed in a stabbing Wednesday in a west valley parking lot.

An argument in the parking lot of a shopping center at 4160 S. Fort Apache Road, near West Flamingo Road, led to the stabbing death of 33-year-old Kristopher Schneider just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

The Las Vegas man was taken to University Medical Center where he died of a stab wound to the chest, the Clark County Coroner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

Metro detectives announced Monday the motive for the stabbing is unknown. They are seeking anyone who has talked to Schneider or has information about his associates.

Police wrote in an earlier release that they were looking for a man and woman who drove off after the stabbing in a white, two-door sedan, possibly a Toyota Celica, with white trim and tinted windows.

The man in his 20s has a thin build and was wearing a white tank top and dark pants. The woman is about 5-feet-5-inches tall with dark hair and was wearing a white shirt and jeans, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Metro at homicide@lvmpd.com or 702-828-3521.
