Police seek suspects in southwest jewelry store robbery

A robbery suspect exchanged gunfire with a jewelry store employee inside the business Thursday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

Lt. David Jacoby said about 4:55 p.m. two men went into a Huntington Jewelers Inc., 7385 W. Sahara Ave., near Tenaya Way, and demanded cash.

Jacoby said a suspect and store employee fired at least one round each.

At least one customer was in the store during the shooting.

The two men fled the store with an unknown amount of cash. They had not been arrested late Thursday.

No injuries were reported, Jacoby said.

The investigation was ongoing Thursday night.
