Pot bust nets $1 million in plants

One man was arrested, and between 400 and 500 marijuana plants were confiscated Tuesday morning from a residence in the southwest valley, Las Vegas police said.

Spokesman Bill Cassell said the drug bust occurred about 11 a.m. at a home on the 5900 block of Illumination Street, near Rainbow Boulevard and Russell Road.

The identity of the man arrested was not released. Cassell said the street value of the plants was about $1 million. Police worked the case with officials with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The home where the raid occurred was near a church and a soccer field, Cassell said.
