Shoplifter fights with store employee, escapes with merchandise

Las Vegas police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man in connection with a southwest valley robbery.

On Jan. 13 at 12:25 p.m., a man robbed a retail business near the intersection of Grand Canyon Drive and Peace Way, according to police. After stepping into dressing rooms with merchandise from the store, the man tried to leave without paying for the items.

A store employee confronted the man at the exit, and a fight ensued, police said. The man escaped with the merchandise and was last seen fleeing on foot from the store parking lot.

The man is between 28 and 35 years old, approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall, 230 pounds and had a mustache, according to police.
