The trial for a former Las Vegas police officer facing charges related to a May 2010 police pursuit that left one person dead and another injured was delayed until July 13 after the prosecutor in the case suffered a medical episode last week.
Paramedics were called during the trial’s second day to treat prosecutor Lawrence O’Neale after he appeared pale and had high blood pressure.

District Judge Elissa Cadish asked the jury whether they could come back and continue in July and the 13-member panel agreed.
Defense attorney Brett Whipple called that remarkable and wanted to thank the jurors for taking time this summer to come back to court and finish hearing the case.
