Two injured in West Las Vegas shooting

Two people were hospitalized after a gang-related shooting in West Las Vegas Monday night, Las Vegas police said.

The shooting occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in a residence near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Owens Avenue. One person suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, police said.

The second person took himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the hip. His injuries weren’t considered life threatening, according to police.

Police are still investigating the shooting.
