Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide Monday morning in the western valley.

Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Chris Holmes confirmed homicide detectives responded to a scene on Stacey Lyn Drive, near West Desert Inn Road and South El Capitan Way.

Holmes said an adult man, likely in his twenties or thirties, died from a gunshot wound.
