Man found dead in empty apartment had a criminal record

A man found dead in a boarded-up apartment had an extensive criminal record, according to court documents.

His body was found in a vacant apartment after police received reports of people going in and out of the building at 242 W. Boston Ave., which had been boarded up the day before. His death was ruled a homicide.

Javier Aguero Zuniga, 30, was killed by a gunshot wound to the chest according to the Clark County coroner’s office.

Zuniga was convicted of several felony counts of drug possession, as well as auto burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, trespassing and battery between 2004 and February of this year.
