Man found on Las Vegas street after hit-and-run dies of injuries

An unidentified man found lying on Harmon Avenue after an apparent hit-and-run Aug. 15 has died, police said.

The crash occurred about 1:35 a.m. and the man was found on Harmon Avenue east of Wynn Road by a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper, a news release said.

Evidence at the scene indicated that the pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart near the south curb and was hit by a vehicle traveling east on Harmon Avenue, it said.

He was taken to University Medical Center, where he died Aug. 17, Metro said.

No further information is known about the vehicle or the driver, Metro said.
