Man arrested in armed robbery at Boulder Highway gas station
A man was arrested Tuesday night in connection with an armed robbery an hour prior at a southeast valley gas station.
The robbery was reported at 9:24 p.m. at the Circle K at 6490 Boulder Highway, said Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon. A man with a gun made off with cash and cigarettes, and he was seen driving south on Boulder Highway.
About an hour later, a patrol unit spotted a vehicle similar to that of the suspect’s at Marion Drive and Stewart Avenue. After a traffic stop, the driver of the vehilce was arrested.
It was unclear what charges the man may face.
Metro’s robbery unit is investigating the incident.
