One person is dead after a shooting Friday night in the southeast valley.
The shooting happened about 9:20 p.m. at 5030 E. Tropicana Ave., just northeast of the Nellis Boulevard intersection, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Kendall Bell said.
The person who was shot was taken to a local hospital, where the person later died, Bell said.
As of 10:30 p.m. it was unclear what led to the shooting.
