Australia’s metalcore export Parkway Drive remains fierce

Everything is just a tad more rugged in Australia, where beer can be had in brick-sized cans and wild dogs snack on newborns — at least in Meryl Streep flicks.

This goes double for the country’s leading metalcore export, Parkway Drive.

The band embraces the characteristic sore-throat vocals and foundation-shaking breakdowns of groups of this subgenre, but it leaves out the clean, melodic singing that routinely brightens the choruses of songs from acts of this ilk.

As such, their tunes are unrelentingly fierce, like the dingoes of their homeland, chomping at your baby.
