Beaujolais celebration features complimentary tastings

The second annual Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration will kick off at 12:01 a.m. Thursday at Paris Las Vegas, 3655 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Complimentary tastings are scheduled from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Nov. 21 and 22 at the check-in bar and from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 21 at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. A food-and-wine tasting is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 22 at Les Artistes Steakhouse (tickets are $30; call 967-4111) and Mon Ami Gabi, Le Provencal and Les Artistes will offer wine-pairing menus throughout the weekend. …

McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, 335 Hughes Center Drive, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with specials of $11.95 1-pound Maine lobsters and $2 margaritas in the bar area from 3:30 p.m. today until closing, or while supplies last. …

AJ’s Steakhouse at the Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road, will close at midnight Dec. 13. As a farewell, the restaurant invites guests to “Dine Like It’s 1999” with menu prices that represent its opening year — as much as 25 percent off 2008 prices. (Thus the 20-ounce New York strip is $33 instead of its more recent price of $44.) The restaurant also is bringing back live piano music every Friday and Saturday beginning at 9 p.m. …

Guy Savoy will be at his restaurant at Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South, through Sunday serving a special seasonal menu including scallop carpaccio with white truffle pasta and poached quail egg, and Alba white-truffle risotto, plus a wild-game menu. …

Chef Tonino Mellino of Ristorante Quattro Passi on Italy’s Amalfi Coast will be guest chef at Trattoria del Lupo at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, through Nov. 21. Special menu items include cuttlefish salad with fennel, walnuts and citronella dressing; lobster salad on tomato carpaccio; and carpaccio of Mediterranean sea bass. …

“New Orleans Cajun Creole” is the theme of the November Epicurean Adventure, which will be available from Monday through Nov. 23 at Envy the Steakhouse at the Renaissance Las Vegas, 3400 Paradise Road. With an entree of barbecued seafood boil — with clams, scallops, mussels and lobster — the four-course dinner is $87 with wine pairings or $65 without; wine-only is $35.
